HOW TO: Get Xfire InGame to work.

Hi everyone. I made a quick guide to get XFire InGame to work in Gekkeiju Online.

What you need to do:
Locate and open xfire_games.ini ( It is usually located in C:\ProgramData\Xfire )
Scroll to the very bottom of xfire_games.ini and paste the following lines:

ShortName=GekkO
LauncherDirKey=HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Coolhouse\Gekkeiju Online\InstallDir
LauncherExe=gekkeiju.exe
DetectExe=client2.exe
Launch=%UA_LAUNCHER_EXE_PATH% %UA_LAUNCHER_EXTRA_ARGS% %UA_LAUNCHER_NETWORK_ARGS%
InGameRenderer=D3D9

Make sure you have pasted it at the VERY BOTTOM. Otherwise Xfire may get confused a bit.

Save the file and open Xfire. Click Tools > Options > Games.
In the installed games list you should see an iconless Gekkeiju Online.


Launch the game from Xfire. You may now Broadcast, Chat, and record video within Xfire!
This does not display any data about the game in your profile(no hours played, etc).

Yes but the problem is that whenever XFire updates the gamelist it'll remove Gekkeiju's entry from it... unless they've changed it since I last checked :)

Gekkeiju is also using XFire's SDK so it has the capability to report information already. So the only thing needed is that XFire starts supporting it which won't be happening.

You may also notice that using the web browser component of XFire inside Gekkeiju is reaaally slow (again unless they've change it...)
